Top Tip for Surviving Covid

[This post was revised to include additional valuable nutrients, on January, 21, 2022].

The killer virus is among us. The mantra is FTS, “Follow the Science.” So, let’s do that. But let’s examine actual science, not the lies we hear from the media and Dr. Fauci, a proven pathological liar.

I have several friends who are front-line doctors or nurses, and who can regale you with tails of horror, as people suffer and die from this man-made bioweapon, SARS-CoV-2. While these stories are compelling, they’re not science. Some are angry with me for my criticism of mask wearing and the push to inject everyone with the experimental gene therapies from Pfizer, Moderna and J&J, but they misunderstand. I don’t deny that people are suffering; what I argue is that we’re not following the actual science for how to minimize severe outcomes and death. I’m not the enemy; I’m here with reality.

Wearing a mask may — but in all probability will not — delay your exposure, but viruses don’t die. This one will be with us for centuries, including variants and, quite simply, your odds of never being exposed are nonexistent. That’s a fact. Hate it if you want but heed it. Since we’re all going to be exposed, what can we do to increase our individual odds of having a mild or asymptomatic case?

New data from Israel, considered to be on the vanguard of covid injections as well as on research data, shows that, despite being the nation with one of the highest vaccination rates, the Delta variant is surging, and it is infecting a greater number of those who have had the shots than those who have not. Does this mean the shots don’t work? Clearly, by the very rules of science, it means exactly that. (See my previous post on scientific method and black swans here.) [Newer data shows the Omicron variant is virtually unaffected by any of the so-called “vaccines.] Does it prove that the shots are making the disease spread? While it suggests so, clearly it does not scientifically prove that point. What it strongly suggests is that either:

A- a greater number are vaccinated while a greater number are being infected, ergo the injections are worthless but not harmful or,

B- the vaccines are insufficiently effective to stop the original virus, ergo the virus survives the vaccine, making it stronger (mutating into stronger variants) and vaccines are making things worse, or

C- the vaccines, while proven to not provide protection from this virus as previously stated, compromises immune systems (we know that all vaccines do this to some degree) increasing susceptibility, or

D- other factors are at play that are more important than the vaccine. [We now know that the spike protein is the real killer, thus the “vaccines” are clearly counterproductive]

A is scientifically self-evident, B&C are reasonable thoughts that should be explored but are not scientific proof, and D is where we, as individuals, can look to take control of our outcome, for that day when we are each inevitably exposed.

While I could, and I have, offered numerous suggestions for improving your health, which will improve your immune system and improve your odds—like losing weight, cutting out processed foods, artificial oils and sugar—those interventions take time. Meanwhile there is something significant that you can do in the short term. A massive and exciting study points us to what looks like the single most important factor, and one that you can influence overnight!

It has long been understood that vitamin D is highly protective against respiratory viruses; therefore it stands to reason that increasing vitamin D levels should be beneficial in this current crisis. And the science backs this up.

Quest Diagnostic kept track of 191,779 patients who had been tested for vitamin D levels and discovered that vitamin D status shows the strongest correlation of any factor in both infection and outcome.

It showed that with 25(OH)D levels above 55ng/mL, regardless of other factors, your odds of contracting symptomatic covid are diminished by over 50%. Odds of infection were shown to diminish by 2% for every increase of 1ng/mL. Further studies have correlated a significantly higher survival rate based on significant vitamin D supplementation, even after the onset of symptoms in elderly (high risk) patients†. And a meta-analysis of 14 studies from various countries showed that patients suffering vitamin D deficiency, defined as 25(OH)D below 20ng/mL, were 80% more likely to contract covid (PCR positive).‡

What is significant, and extremely important, is that you can have your vitamin D status tested easily and you can raise your level significantly in just days, by supplementing 10-20,000iu and getting 30 minutes or more of midday sun exposure. If your levels are below the established deficiency measurement of 32ng/mL, this is a critical step that you should begin immediately. And you should know that the majority of Americans are deficient in vitamin D and the worst of these are in the northern latitudes. These studies make it clear that vitamin D status provides significant protection against covid, while vaccinations do not.

Historically, our primary source for vitamin D has always been sunlight, something no one gets enough of these days. Older and more obese people tend to get far less sunlight and to be vitamin D deficient. And the darker your skin pigmentation, which is protective against overexposure, the greater your need for sunlight. So if you’re obese, elderly and black, take action now! While supplementation will help, sunlight (UVB) is critical for the conversion of dietary vitamin D into the active form, 1,25(OH)2D. This is the primary reason for the seasonality of viral infections, as we get far less sun during the “cold and flu season,” aka, the winter months.

[More additions:] It is also evident that NAC, N-Acetyl Cysteine, Quercetin and high doses of vitamin C can provide additional immune support, as well as helping to reverse the effects of SARS.
